Open Access Policy

Copyrights of all articles published in the Journal of Korea Art & Archaeology (JKAA) is owned by the National Museum of Korea. However, the publication and distribution rights for the printed version of volumes 12-17 are owned by a commercial publisher (Kong&Park, Inc). Therefore, please contact the publisher for inquiries about the use of the printed version of volumes 12-17. Details of the copyright are set out in the ‘Open Access Scope’.
Every author should sign the copyright transfer agreement forms.
Currently, the JKAA is an open access journal. It has been published as an open access journal since its first volume, but between volumes 12-17, it was published as a closed journal. Since February 2023 (volume 18), it has been published as an open access journal again.
This is an Open Access article distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/) which permits use, distribution and reproduction in any medium, provided that the article is properly cited, the use is non-commercial and no modifications or adaptations are made.

Open Access Scope

Articles published in volumes 1 to 11 and from volume 18 onwards are open access journals and are freely available under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/).
Articles published in volumes 12 to 17 are prohibited from being copied or reproduced without the permission of the National Museum of Korea. If you have any questions about usage, please contact the National Museum of Korea.
